1925 - 2015 PITTSFIELD Marion H. Taylor, 90, of Howe Road passed away Wednesday at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Pittsfield, MA on November 7, 1925 the daughter of John and Esther Haverly Hochstrasser; she was a 1943 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Marion was a homemaker and a passionate mother of five children. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Lenox, and a former member of Trinity Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school for many years. Marion enjoyed sewing and crafting, playing Scrabble, researching family history and genealogy. A member of the PEO Sisterhood, her greatest love was spending time with her family. For 16 years she and her late husband, George spent their winters in Naples, FL. She married the late George W. Taylor on December 1, 1946, he passed away January 25, 2004. Marion leaves her children, Mark G. Taylor and his wife, Beverly of Marlborough, CT, Scott C. Taylor and his wife, Gina Vinciguerra of Pittsfield, Beth E. Capitanio and her husband, Paul Sr. of Pittsfield, Jill A. Wehry and her husband, Louis of Pittsfield, and Eric J. Taylor and his wife, Jennifer of Peru, MA, grandchildren, Scott, Jason, Shari and husband, Glen, Scott Jr., Heather and her partner, Marcie, Holly and her husband, John, Jenna, Samantha, Jordon, Dalton, Makenzi and Garret, six great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and her longtime caregiver, Maryann Williamson. She was predeceased by her grandson, Paul J. Capitanio Jr., sisters, Ruth and her husband, Rev. Luther, Lois and her husband, Donald, and brother, Frank. Marion's compassion for others left a print in many lives. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mrs. Marion H. Taylor will be held Monday at 11a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Lenox with the Rev. Janet Deranian, pastor officiating. Following cremation, burial will be in the spring in Mahaiwe Cemetery in Great Barrington. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 5p.m. at the WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the United Methodist Church of Lenox in care of the funeral home.
