Mary "Nan" Alberti 1931 - 2009 WILLIAMSTOWN Mary Angela "Nan" Alberti, 78, of Williamstown died on May 15, 2009. She was born in Rome, N.Y., on Feb. 17, 1931, the daughter of Judge John P. and Valentine Ferlo Gualtieri. She leaves her husband of 56 years, Judge Charles R Alberti of Williamstown; a son, Charles Christopher Alberti and his wife, Susan, of Beijing, China; two daughters, Lisa Joan Alberti of New York City and Richmond, Mass., and Sara Elizabeth Alberti of Providence, R.I., and three grandchildren, Samuel Gage Alberti, Jennifer Elizabeth Alberti-Silverstein and Carlos Alberti. Mrs Alberti was a 1952 graduate of Bennington College; twice President of the Junior League of Pittsfield, founder of the Lemon Tree in Lenox, and the Library Antiques in Williamstown. FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours are omitted. A service to celebrate her Life and Love of family and friends will be held at St John's Episcopal Church on Thursday, May 21, 2009, at 4 p.m. with a reception for friends and family thereafter at the Williams College Faculty Club. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Nan's honor to KIDSAVE, an organization that finds families for children living in orphanages.
