Mary Ann Patryn
1919 - 2015 PITTSFIELD Mary Ann Patryn, 95, died peacefully in the presence of her family on Feb. 22, 2015. Born on Nov. 21, 1919 in Pittsfield, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Kazimiera Szymasko Arasimowicz. She attended schools in Pittsfield and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. She was employed by the General Electric Company Naval Ordnance Department for 19 years retiring in 1980 as a wire wrap instructor. She was a communicant of the former Holy Family Church and enjoyed golfing, bowling and bingo. She had wintered in Port Richey, FL. for over 18 years. She was the wife of the late Stanley F. Patryn whom she married on Jan. 22, 1944 at Holy Family Church; he died June 29, 2006. She is survived by her two daughters, Kathryn M. Miklowitz and her husband, David of Niskayuna, N.Y. and Dorothy A. Mears of Bryan, Texas. A daughter- in-law, Penny Patryn of Pittsfield. A sister, Agnes Reynolds of Apopka, FL. Four grandchildren, Matthew Patryn, Brenna Patryn-Balbuena, Brent Miklowitz and Jordan Miklowitz. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Stanley J. Patryn in 2005 and by four brothers, Felix, Charles, John and Anthony and by a sister, Stella Messina. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mary Ann Patryn will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA conducted by the Rev. Monsignor Michael Shershanovich, pastor of St. Joseph Church. Burial will follow at Saint Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

I have great memories of Mary while spending time growing up with Kathy and Dorothy during my early years in West Pittsfield. She was a great, strong woman. Thinking of you Kathy and the rest of your family. I'm sorry for your loss.
