Mary G. Goerlach

HINSDALE Mary G. Goerlach, 59, of 110 Old Windsor Road in Hinsdale, died peacefully August 10, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Pittsfield, the daughter of Sally F. Cornwell and the late Bruce M. Cornwell. She attended Hinsdale schools and was a 1974 graduate of Wahconah Regional High School. Mary was a communicant of St. Agnes Church where she was involved in the youth group, choir and CCD. She was also an avid tennis player and enjoyed rollerblading, swimming and the ocean. Mary is survived by her five children all of Hinsdale; Matthew Goerlach, Nathan Goerlach and his wife Shannon, Marta Goerlach and her fiance Michael Kinney, Jordan Goerlach, and Callen Goerlach and her boyfriend Mark Geibel, her four grandchildren; Paige, Sebastian, Gabriel and Mikala, her brothers; Anthony Cornwell and wife Sheri Erbin, Thomas Cornwell and his wife Bridgette, James Cornwell and his wife Jennifer Storti, Timothy Cornwell and Christian Cornwell, her sisters; Cynthia Pratt and her husband David, Sheila Del Soldato and her husband William, a brother-in-law; Fred Goerlach and his wife Debbie, her sisters-in-law Rothann Goerlach and Heidi Cornwell, many nieces and nephews and a very large extended family blood and not. She was predeceased by her husband Michael A. Goerlach who died November 17, 2015. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Mass for Mary G. Goerlach who died August 10, 2016 will be held Sunday, August 14, 2016, at 12:00 p.m., at St. Agnes Church in Dalton. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life will take place at Mary Goerlach's home at 110 Old Windsor Road in Hinsdale at 1pm following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mary's memory can be made to DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield which is handling arrangements.
