Margaret Mary Guillotte

1924 - 2013 WILLIAMSTOWN Margaret Mary (Hanlon) Guillotte, 88, of 19 Sunset Drive, died Sunday, May 26, 2013, at her home.

She was born in North Adams on Dec. 31, 1924, daughter of Charles F. and Nora V. (McCarthy) Hanlon. She attended Williamstown schools and graduated from the Williamstown High School with the class of 1943. She also attended the former St. Luke's School of Nursing.

Margaret worked at Gaevert's in Williamstown for a short time. Primarily a homemaker, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Margaret enjoyed cooking and baking.

She was a communicant of Sts. Patrick and Raphael Church.

Her husband, of George L. Guillotte, whom she married May 15, 1948, died April 5, 1996.

Survivors include three daughters, Diane Creek and her husband, James, of Falling Waters, W.Va., Cynthia Mackoul of Great Barrington, and Neysa Beaudreau and her husband, Raymond, of Williamstown; two sons, Paul A. Guillotte of Williamstown, with whom she lived, and George Guillotte and his wife, Maureen, of Tucson, Ariz.; six grandchildren, James Broderick, Carrie Eirish, Chad Broderick, Amy Guillotte, Heather Beaudreau, and Amber Aftosmis, and nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Jane Hanlon, and a sister in-law, Anita Hanlon, both of Williamstown, and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Hanlon, and by a sister, Mary Hanlon.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Margaret Guillotte will be celebrated Thursday, May 30, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
