1924-2016 Mary Rose (Canino) Hartman, 91 of North Adams and West Yarmouth, MA died Wednesday March 2, 2016 at Williamstown Commons. She was born in North Adams, MA on June 8, 1924, daughter of Camillo and Rose (Mazza) Canino. She graduated from the Drury High School with the class of 1942. Mary worked at Molly's Bakery, a family business, for many years. She was last employed at Roberts Company in its women's dress dept. for 15 years until her retirement in 1986. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church and St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and was a member of the Clarksburg Seniors. Mary enjoyed flower gardening and caring for her home, and she loved little children, the ocean, and animals. Her life revolved around her daughter, granddaughter and great grandson whom she loved dearly, and she found peace on her trips to Cape Cod. She was the widow of Russell C. Hartman who died on February 1, 1996. They were married on September 6, 1948. Survivors include her daughter- Rosemarie Hartman Perry, and her companion, Ray Hartman of Williamstown, MA; her granddaughter, Sarah McClelland and her husband, Brian of East Longmeadow, MA and her great grandson- Liam N. McClelland. She also leaves several nieces and nephews including Mark Hartman; her cousins, Nancy Gaudette, Carole Kalisz, Jean Kochman, Judy Mellyn, Mary Ann Maroni, and John Mazza; and her good friends and caregivers Sr. Natalie Cain and Mary Ellen Faustini. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mary Hartman will be celebrated Monday March 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA are Monday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
