1919 2014 ADAMS Mrs. Mary A. Blazejewski Misiuk, 95, formerly of 17 Pleasant St., Adams, died on Sunday evening, September 21, 2014 at Williamstown Commons. She was born in Adams on August 11, 1919, a daughter of the late Frank and Aniela Potla Blazejewski. She attended schools in Adams, including St. Stanislaus Kostka Elementary School and the former Adams High School. Mrs. Misiuk last worked as a cook for the Adams-Cheshire Regional School District for many years until retiring in 1980. Earlier she had worked as a private cook for the late H.B. Clark of North Adams and also at Charles H. McCann Vocational High School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Adams. Mary loved her family and expressed her love for them through her cooking. Her husband, Stanley J. Misiuk, whom she married on August 30, 1941, died on January 12, 1997. She is survived by three sons, Rev. James Misiuk and his wife, Maryann of Lake Forest, Calif,, Robert Misiuk of Corona, Calif. and Stanley Misiuk and his wife , Patricia of Adams; one daughter, Jane Varno and her husband, William of Bennington, Vt.; one sister, Jennie Twardowski of Adams; 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, great great -grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Theodore, John, Mathew and Walter Blazejewski; and by two sisters, Katherine Kondej and Sophie Blazejewski. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be on Wednesday, September 24, at 10 a.m. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. The service will be officiated by Mary's son, Rev. James Misiuk. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are today, Tuesday, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Williamstown Commons Patient Activities Fund, 25 Adams Rd., Williamstown, MA 01267.
