1920 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Mrs. Maureen T. Donnelly Reilly, age 94, of 133 Mountain Dr. died Thursday evening at the UMass Medical Center in Worcester after a short illness. She was born in Felling-on-thyne, England, May 3, 1920, the daughter of the late Peter and Teresa MacAtominey Donnelly. She came to this country as a young girl and settled with her family in Schenectady, N.Y. She was educated in the schools there and graduated at the age of 16 from Draper High School. Continuing her education, she attended Mildred Elley in Troy, N.Y. and graduated from its Secretarial Arts program. She then became employed as a secretary at the General Electric Co. in Schenectady prior to her marriage. She and her husband of 55 years, Gerald P. Reilly, who died July 26, 2000, were married Apr. 1, 1945. Together they came to Pittsfield in 1959 to make their home and raise their family. A devout Roman Catholic, she cherished her membership at Sacred Heart Church. An avid reader and Bridge player, Mrs. Reilly enjoyed being a member of the Crafting Group at Sacred Heart. Family meant everything to Mrs. Reilly as she is survived by her two daughters, Kathleen T. Allaire and her husband, Peter of Sterling, Ma., and Eileen T. Tainsh and her husband, Scott of Barrington, R.I.. She was the 'proud Gram' of her five grandchildren, Jonathan Allaire and his wife, Kristina, Jennifer Shagensky and her husband, Corey, Sean Tainsh and his wife Lindsey, Alexander Tainsh and Eric Tainsh. She was the very proud and loving "Great Grammy" of Jackson, Brayden and Logan Allaire, Reilly and Matthew Shagensky and Liam Tainsh. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Reilly was predeceased by her two sons, Peter J. Reilly, who died June 10, 1984 and Kevin G. Reilly, who died Feb. 26, 1996. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Mrs. Reilly's "third daughter" and her husband, Ginny and Bill DeMarco who provided love and care for Mrs. Reilly. FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME will be SUNDAY from 3 to 6 pm. Funeral services will be held MONDAY morning at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home followed with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church with the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskaynua, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the in care of the funeral home.
