Maxwell K. Fiske Jr.

1934 - 2015 ADAMS Maxwell K. Fiske Jr., 80, peacefully passed away on April 25, 2015 at his home with his devoted and loving wife Barbara at his side. Born in Westfield, MA. on November 4, 1934, son of the late Maxwell K. And Florence B. Peaslee, he was educated in the Huntington, MA. school system and was a member of the 104th Fighter Group Barnes ANGB of the Massachusetts Air National Guard for nine years. He was activated during the Berlin call up in 1961 and was sent to Phallsburg, France for a year with his unit. He was a crane operator and heavy equipment operator working for many different companies. Maxwell was a member of the All Saints Episcopal Church in North Adams, he was a member of the Barnes alumni association of the 104th Fighter Wing in Westfield, a member of the International Operators Engineering Union 98 in Longmeadow, MA. He served the town of Huntington, MA as an assessor for nine years as well as a selectman for one term before moving to Adams where he worked for several contractors, until retiring in 1995 from Lane Construction of CT. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara, of 61 years, a son, Scott Fiske and his wife, Cindy of Chicopee, a daughter, Terri Ellert and her husband, David of Homer, Alaska, 11 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Service for Maxwell will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donations in his memory can be made to Pop Cares, the Berkshire VNA and Hospice, or to All Saints Episcopal Church in care of the TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, MA. 01220 who is in charge of arrangements.
