Michael Dennett 1949 - 2009 WILLIAMSTOWN Michael R. Dennett, 50, of Federal Way, Washington, died Saturday, May 2nd, at Virginia Mason Hospital. Born in Williamstown, on June 20, 1949, only son of Roger and Phoebe Dennett, formerly of 108 North Hoosac Road, Williamstown, was a 1967 graduate of Mount Greylock Regional High School. He received a full ROTC scholarship to Norwich University in Northfield, Vt., and received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 1971, along with a Regular Army Commission. He served in the Army Infantry for four years, completing Ranger and Airborne training, and retiring as a Captain. Michael has lived in the Seattle area for the past 25 years with his wife, Lois. He has worked at Georgia Pacific, Schindler Elevator Corporation, and was currently employed at Whitney Equipment Company. He has written articles for The Skeptical Inquirer and appeared on local news segments and on Good Morning America. His photographs and expertise were cited in the book Bigfoot Exposed by David S. Daegling. He leaves his wife, Lois Dennett, of Federal Way, Wash.; his parents, Roger and Phoebe Dennett, now of Westfield, Mass.; his sister, Susan Moore, also of Westfield, two nieces, Amanda Moore of Boston, and Trista Moore of Washington, DC; and his cousins, William and Louise Carson of Sammamish, Wash. FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside memorial service and burial is planned for July at the Veterans Circle at Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown. Arrangements are being made by the American Legion, Post 152. Memorial donations in his memory can be made to Legion Post 152, 117 Latham Street, Williamstown, MA. A notice will be published when exact date is determined.
