Michael Desgroseilliers Obituary
Michael P. Desgroseilliers

1962 - 2015 PITTSFIELD Michael P. Desgroseilliers, 53, of Brookside Dr., passed away suddenly at home, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday May 27. Born in Quincy, on March 4, 1962, the son of Ronald F. and Joyce Morrilly Desgro-seilliers, he was a 1984 graduate of Pittsfield High School. You can truly say that Michael reached his total potential working four jobs over the years including a 23 year tenure at J.H. Maxy-millian Construction Company. Prior to working in construction Michael worked in several area restaurants, including Day's Catch, the Lenox House, and Friendly's on the Pittsfield-Lenox Rd. Over the last year Michael attended The Center for Development in Lee. Michael loved sports and was an athlete. He was a Special Olympian, competing in track, skiing and golf. Michael was an avid Boston sports fan, especially of the Bruins, and would often make trips to Boston to see the Bruins and the Red Sox. Michael never backed away from life's challenges. He was very social; always happy and smiling and would brighten anyone's day. Michael brought out the best in everyone. He loved dancing and was often the first one on the dance floor at parties or celebrations. Michael was an expert video gamer and there were few who could match his skill, much to the dismay of his cousins, nieces and nephew. He also enjoyed spending time with his family especially in the summer, swimming at Lake Monadnock and Bonnet Shores. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. Besides his parents, with whom he made his home; he is survived by two sisters, Deborah D. Adduci and her husband, John V., of Boston, and Michelle L. Pope and her husband, David W., of Warwick, R.I. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew, Caitlin E. Pope and Jessica L. Pope, both of Warwick, R.I., and Caroline D. Adduci and Jack M. Adduci, both of Boston. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be Monday, June 1, at 9 a.m. from the DWYER FUNERAL HOME, 776 North St., Pittsfield Mass. with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, celebrated by the Rev. Peter M. Naranjo, Parochial Vicar. A burial will take place on Tuesday, June 2, at 1 p.m. at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Fitchburg, Mass. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday, May 31, from 3 - 6 p.m. If friends desire, donations may be made to Berkshire County Arc, care of the Dwyer Funeral Home, in his memory.
