Michael "Mike" Francis Fitzpatrick

1933 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Michael "Mike" Francis Fitzpatrick of Pittsfield died at BMC after a short illness at the age of 81. Son of the late Michael and Mary Fitzpatrick of North Adams where he attended local schools. Served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Had a long career at General Electric working in the test department of Ordnance. Member of the GEAA Senior Golf Team. Member of the Dalton United Methodist Church. Enjoyed going to picnics at local lakes, the airport and all around the Berkshires. An avid vintage movie buff. Delighted in the companionship of his cat Le Beau Grey. He is survived by his wife Emma Fitzpatrick. His four children: Susan Fitzpatrick and husband Gary Sosha of Pittsfield; Laurie Fitzpatrick of Pittsfield; Ellen Morandi and husband Bob of Bennington, Vt.; Michael Fitzpatrick of Adams. His two sisters Loyola Fitzpatrick and Arlene Rabidoux. His brother-in-law Ernest Lagess and niece Cynthia and nephew Ernie. His three stepchildren: Gary Zimmer and wife Barbara of Rehoboth, Mass.; Steven Zimmer of Boston; Pamela Dotterer and husband Donald of Monroeville, Pa. Five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held Monday, May 5, 10:00 a.m. at WELLINGTON FUNEARL HOME 220 EAST STREET PITTSFIELD MA 01201, preceded by calling hours at 9:00 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Victor Han of Dalton United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Berkshire Humane Society. Burial will be at Old Stone Fort Cemetery in Schoharie, NY. Graveside services will be officiated by the Rev. Dr. Donald Dotterer.
