Mitchell J. Rheaume 1965 - 2012 PITTSFIELD Mitchell Joseph Rheaume, 46, of 89 Kearney Ave., Pittsfield, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at his home, following an 11-year battle with Hodgkin's disease. Born in Pittsfield on Nov. 30, 1965, son of Richard L. Rheaume and the late Joan Marie Leavy Rheaume, he was educated in Pittsfield schools. During his lifetime, Mr. Rheaume was a carpenter, a mechanic, did metal fabrication and machinery work, and was a three-year graduate of the Belsaw Institute of Upholstery. At the time of his death, Mr. Rheaume was proprietor of Mitchell's craft mail order business. He was an avid reader and was a Civil War and Titanic buff. Besides his father of Pittsfield, Mr. Rheaume leaves a sister, Jennifer Lynn Johnson, and her husband, Jay, of Amanda, Ohio; a nephew, Garrett Johnson; two nieces, McKenzie Johnson and Lisa Johnson, and a great nephew, Jay Carsey; as well as several cousins and aunts and uncles. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mitchell Joseph Rheaume will be Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 10 a.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME, with the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor of St. Charles Church, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Rheaume may be made to HospiceCare in The Berkshires in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
