1942 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Mrs. Nancy Carol Sherman, 71, of 39 Morin St., died Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 at Berkshire Medical Center, surrounded in the loving presence of her family. She was born in Pittsfield, Mass. on Dec. 19, 1942 a daughter of the late Daniel N. & Sarah (Sacco) Morelli. He attended Pittsfield Schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1960 and also graduated from Berkshire Community College. From 1974 to 1994 she was employed at the General Electric Company in the Ordnance Dept. and retired in June 2014 after 15 years as a bookkeeper at Berkshire Community College. She was a former communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and presently attended St. Charles Parish. She enjoyed reading, gardening, crossword puzzles, traveling, spending time with her family, especially during the holidays and she and her husband Paul loved to take daily walks to the lake with their dog Erin. Survivors include her husband, Paul R. Sherman whom she married on Apr. 8, 1961. One son, Daniel Sherman and his wife, Laura of Pittsfield, two daughters, Julie Clukey and her partner, Kenneth of Pittsfield, Amy Rayner and her husband, Mark of Pittsfield. One sister, Victoria Kane and her husband, James of Pittsfield. One brother, John Morelli of Pittsfield. Five grandchildren; Daniel, Katrina, Sarah, Kevin, and David, all were the loves of her life. One sister-in-law, Elena Morelli of Pittsfield. She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Morelli. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services will take place Friday, Nov. 7, 2014 at 9 a.m. at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME 5 Elm Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201 with the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker C.S.S. Officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014 from 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
