Naomi Gordon

1928 - 2014 LENOX Naomi Gordon, 86 of Lenox, died on Aug. 2, 2014. Born in New York City on Jan. 12, 1928, she was the daughter of Herbert and Rose Grossfeld Rosen. Naomi attended Queens College and later, City College to complete graduate work. Naomi was a school psychologist and worked for Rye Neck School District in Mamaroneck, N.Y. until her retirement. She retired with her husband of 50 years, Hugh E. Gordon, to Lee, Massachusetts. Together they were active in the Lee Land Trust. After her husband's death, Naomi became a local watercolor artist. She was a member of the Dalton Art League and the Sheffield Art League. Her watercolors are currently displayed at the Pine Hill Assisted Living, part of Kimball Farms, where she had lived for the past six years. She is survived by her daughter, Stefani Gossen and her husband, Robert of Cape Coral, Fla., and her son, Tim H. Gordon and his wife, Gail of River Vale, N.J. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Ryan, Jaclyn, Alison and Lindsay. There will be a gathering of family and friends to remember Naomi on Aug. 20, 2014 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Pine Hill Arts Studio at Kimball Farms in Lenox.
