Nello N. Salvitti Obituary

Nello N. Salvitti, 53, of Attleboro, MA passed away Monday evening,, January 25th surrounded by his family at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston after a short illness. Son of Nicola and Rosa Salvitti, he grew up in Pittsfield and graduated from St. Joseph's High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Northeastern University. He was a Coro Fellow graduate of the Coro Leadership Center, St. Louis, MO, a nationally renowned leadership training program. He worked for many years in Financial Services and later as a sales consultant in the medical information systems industry. As a volunteer project manager for the International Community Service Foundation, Boston, MA he participated in initiatives to build playgrounds and renovate inner city schools for underprivileged children. Nello touched many peoples' lives with his huge heart, big smile and quick wit, always willing to put his own needs secondary to others in need. He made every encounter special. He loved sports, especially football, and to the chagrin of his Boston friends, a Yankees fan. He leaves two sisters, Nanda Hrul of Norfolk, MA and Donna O'Hara of Bridgewater, MA, and brothers-in-law Peter Hrul and Tom O'Hara. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services will take place Monday, February 1, 2016 at 9:30a.m. from the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30a.m. at Sacred Heart Church with the Rev. Peter M. Naranjo II, Parochial Vicar officiating. Burial will be private.
