Norma M. Zalutsky

PITTSFIELD Norma Mae Zalutsky, 90, of 235 Walker St., Lenox, died early Sunday morning at Kimball Farms in Lenox.Born in Pittsfield, daughter of Joseph Rod and Gussie (Salmonowitz) Rod, she was a 1941 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She continued her education and graduated from the Jewish Hospital Medical Center School of Nursing in Brooklyn, N.Y.

She worked at the School of Nursing for several years prior to transferring to the Veterans Administration Hospital in Newington, Conn.

Norma was a member of Congregation Knesset Israel Synagogue, a life member of its sisterhood and a member of Hadassah. She was a 37-year participant in the Harvard Nurses Study.

Norma was predeceased by her husband, Harry Zalutsky, whom she married Jan. 7, 1948.

She is survived by her three sons, Paul Zalutsky of Cambridge, Dr. Robert Zalutsky of Rockville, Md., and Dr. Michael Rod Zalutsky of Chapel Hill, N.C. Other survivors include her beloved grandchildren, Benjamin Zalutsky and Liana Zalutsky.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A private graveside service was held by her family.
