1933 - 2015 CLARKSBURG Norman Sebastiano D'Amico, 82, of Middle Road died on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at his home. He was born in North Adams on August 16, 1933 a son of the late Benjamin D'Amico and Theresa (Musk) D'Amico. He attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School and from North Adams State College where he obtained three masters degrees. He was a decorated veteran of the United States Army with the tank division. Mr. D'Amico was an educator and taught at Hoosac Valley High School, North Adams Schools, Peru School, Bennington Schools and for a short time in Poland. He later served with the North Adams Police Department and North Adams Fire Department. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and a member of the Clarksburg VFW. Survivors include his wife, Marcella (Briggs) D'Amico whom he married on July 19, 2015. He is also survived by his niece and nephews, Howard D'Amico Jr., Peter D'Amico, Paul D'Amico and Cynthia Shepard. He was predeceased by a brother, Howard D'Amico. FUNERAL NOTICE: A liturgy of Christian burial for Norman D'Amico will be celebrated on Saturday, October, 10, 2015 at 10:30a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Calling hours will be on Saturday from 9 to 10:30a.m. at St. Elizabeth Church.
