1935 - 2016 PITTSFIELD Mrs. Patricia Ann Gerhardt Santora, 81, of Lebanon Avenue, Pittsfield, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield, MA on March 26, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Evelyn Daigle Gerhardt. Patricia was educated in local schools and was a 1953 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She and her husband, Joseph D. Santora, Sr. were married April 16, 1955. When her children were younger, Patricia worked as a Crossing Guard for the Pittsfield Public Schools and she was later employed as the Manager of the Salvation Army Store and Junior League Thrift Store. Patricia enjoyed traveling, particularly to Virginia Beach each year, but her greatest joy was her family. In addition to her husband of 61 years, Patricia leaves two sons; Joseph Santora, Jr. and his wife, Susan, of Amesbury, MA; Fred Santora, Sr., and his wife, Donna, of Pittsfield, MA, and a daughter; Bonnie Santora Brown and her husband, Rick Brown of Hinsdale. Patricia is also survived by three grandchildren; Fred Santora, Jr., Angelo Santora and Cameron Brown, as well as two great-grandchildren; Blake Santora and Jace Santora. She also leaves a sister, Jane Thorworth and her husband, Conrad, of Ballston Spa, NY. Patricia is predeceased by two sisters; Barbara McMahon and Rose Pirzl and a brother, William Gerhardt. FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME on SATURDAY morning, June 11, 2016 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM. The funeral service will begin at 10 AM at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joseph Romano, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may make memorial donations in Patricia's honor to the , in care of the funeral home.
