1933 - 2015 WILLIAMSTOWN Patricia (Petri) Thomason, 81 of Lindley Terrace, Williamstown died on Jan. 5, 2015. She was born in North Adams, on Sept. 22, 1933 a daughter of the late Thomas P. Brady and Constance (Williston) Brady Petri. She was raised by her mother and step-father, Francis Petri. She graduated from St. Joseph's High School in North Adams. Mrs. Thomason was employed as a child care worker in Williamstown and North Adams. She spent much of her time volunteering with Hospice as well as with the book program at Sweetbrook earning her the Volunteer of the Year Award in 1982. She started an outreach program for shut ins and the disabled through the Williamstown and North Adams libraries. She was also a licensed antique dealer and loved animals. Her greatest joy was being a devoted mother and grandmother. Mrs. Thomason was the widow of World War II Purple Heart recipient, John C. Thomason. He died Dec. 21, 2007. Survived by her children Bobby Thomason, Pamella Santarcangelo, and John P. Thomason, and Arlene White; and several grand children and great grandchildren. She also leaves four half siblings, John, James, Nan and Diane. The family would like to thank the staff at BMC and Dr. Steve Cherry of Williamstown Medical and a special thank you to Dr. Robert Van Uitert for their care and support. FUNERAL NOTICE: Private funeral and graveside service were held and there were no calling hours.
