Patrick Michael Sullivan Jr.

1929 - 2015 NORTH ADAMS Patrick Michael Sullivan Jr., 86, died on December 14, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Springfield on April 6, 1929 a son of the late Patrick and Mary Elizabeth (Bowler) Sullivan. He attended schools in Chicopee, MA. He was a decorated veteran of the United States Army during WWII serving as a private 1st class. He was employed as a bridge inspector for the Department of Public Works for the State of MA for over 30 years. He also was employed as a deputy sheriff for the town of Lanesboro. He was chief of the North Adams Auxiliary Police Dept. for 30 years and was a monitor for BCAC vans for several years. He was a lifetime member of the North Adams American legion and was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church serving as an usher. Survivors include his wife, Lucille (Barrett) Sullivan whom he married on November 6, 1999 and her three children, Lynn Palladino, Cheryl Downing, and Allen Lamson. He also leaves five grandchildren and one great-grandson, nephew, John Sullivan, and Brother Stanislaw. Patrick was predeceased by his first wife, Jeannette (Wright) Sullivan who died on October 26, 1995 and her two children, Maureen Caples and Thomas Reilly; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and nine great-great- grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister and a brother, Margaret Sullivan and James M. Sullivan. FUNERAL NOTICE: A liturgy of Christian burial to celebrate the life of Patrick Sullivan will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 11a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial with full military honors will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours are on Wednesday from 4 to 7p.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli WEST CHAPEL 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA 01247.
