Pauline Virginia Weaver Brazie

1936-2014 STEPHENTOWN, NY Pauline Virginia Weaver Brazie, 77, died early Sunday morning, March 30, 2014 at the Springside Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Pittsfield. Pauline was born in East Nassau, N.Y., on November 16, 1936, the daughter of the late Albert and Grace Williams Weaver. Following her marriage, she moved to Stephentown where she has resided for most of her life. She was employed by W.J. Cowee, Inc. in Berlin, NY where she met her late husband and was employed for over 40 years in the manufacturing division before retiring. She was a great cook and baker and was well known for her chocolate chip cookies and devil dogs which her husband Jim would deliver to fellow workers at W.J. Cowee and to all the neighbors. She loved to shop to fill up her huge food pantry and watching the TV show, "Little House on the Prairie" which reminded her of growing up in East Nassau. She was the beloved wife of the late James J. Brazie who died March 22, 2014 and who was buried on this past Saturday, loving mother of James Paul Brazie of Morgan City, Louisiana, adored grandmother of Ashlea (Travis) Frederick and great grandmother of Elsie and Jamisyn Frederick, dear sister of Jim, Leo, Frank, Vivian and William Weaver, Josephine Newman and the late Albert, Wilbur and Gilbert Weaver, Katherine Keith, Lucy French and Ruth Yerden, close friend of Andy Adams. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral service will be Wednesday at 12 noon at the Hall & Higgins Funeral Home, 457 NY 43, Stephentown with Rev. Trygve Tomlinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Garfield Cemetery, Stephentown. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday prior to the service from 11am-12 noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Stephentown Volunteer Fire Dept. Rescue Squad, 396 State Route 43, Stephentown, NY 12168. Condolence book at ParkerBrosMemorial.com.
