Peggy Bell Obituary
Peggy J. Bell

Peggy Bell of Wellesley on June 21, 2016, following a brief illness. Beloved wife of Edward Bell and devoted mother to Julian, Peggy was born in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Boston College. In addition to receiving two Masters Degrees, in 1998, Peggy earned her doctorate in Psychology from Boston College. She then opened a clinical psychology practice in Brookline.Peggy was articulate, witty, and whip-smart. She loved life- a serious collector of Victorian decorative art, antiques, and all things beautiful. She inhaled books, Mozart, Aretha Franklin and the opera both at home in Wellesley and at their retreat in the Berkshires. Peggy loved tending her magnificent gardens, nurturing friendships within her close circle of lifelong friends, and providing support and comfort to her family, patients, and anyone who needed a listener. Peggy is also survived by her sisters, Kathy Bickimer of Weston and Patti Bickimer of Acton, her niece Caitlin Guthlein and nephews Eric and Adam Nesto and James and Andrew Guthlein. Peggy will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jewish Family and Children's Services, specifically for Disability Lifespan Solutions, 1430 Main Street, Waltham, MA 02451.
