Phyllis (Borowski) Groves King

1936 - 2015 ADAMS Mrs. Phyllis (Borowski) Groves King, 78, of 1 Berkshire Square, died on Saturday, March 7, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. She was born in North Adams on April 29, 1936, a daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Gleba) Borowski. She attended schools in North Adams. Mrs. King was a homemaker. She was a loving devoted mother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the Berkshire Union Chapel in Lanesboro. She enjoyed sewing and dancing and had attended many dances at the ITAM in Pittsfield. Her husband, John King, whom she married in 1991, died on April 9, 1996. She is survived by one son, William Groves of Pownal, Vt.; two daughters, Karen Belanger and her husband, Michael, of Lanesboro, and Debra Wood of Watervelit, N.Y.; two granddaughters, Amie Mos-caritolo and her husband, David, of Haverill, Mass., and Kelly Groves and her fiance, Kale Skrocki, of North Adams; four great- grandchildren, Ava and David Moscaritolo, Craig Field and Jonah Skrocki; her former husband, Robert Groves, of North Adams; and by two nieces and one nephew. She was predeceased by one brother, William Borowski; and by two sisters, Sylvia Sadlowski and Joan Field. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 11, at 11 a.m. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, the Rev. William Furey, Pastor of the Berkshire union Chapel will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Tuesday from 5 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
