1933 - 2016 PITTSFIELD, MA Raymond "Ray" E. Daury, 82, of Columbus Ave., passed away on Tuesday, April 13 at Berkshire Medical Center. He was born June 20, 1933 in Pittsfield, the son of Raymond and Marie Meriam Daury, he attended Pittsfield Public Schools. Ray worked as a taxi driver and was a butcher at Price Chopper. He was an avid musician playing guitar, taught guitar and an accomplished singer. Ray played with several local bands and musicians. He loved to play guitar with his good friends, George, Sarge and Bill. Ray was an accomplished leather craftsman; many Berkshire county residents have his amazing pieces of work. Along with music Ray enjoyed fishing, shooting, computers, electronics and was an avid card player. Ray leaves his wife the former Agnes L. Cameron whom he married June, 29, 1957, children Raymond Tiffany (Woody), Mitchell Daury (Jaqueline), Marie Daury, Raymona Daury Griffin (Don), Laura Daury, sister Arlene Daury Ruberto, 20 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son Mark Daury and brother Larry Daury. FUNERAL NOTICE- A memorial service for Mr. Raymond E. Daury will be held Saturday at 11am at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA with Rev. Chuck Young, officiating.
