LANESBORO - Raymond S. Goerlach, 90, of Old Williamstown Rd., passed away Saturday at his home.
Born Jan. 24, 1922, in Pittsfield, son of John and Fannie Stearns Goerlach, he attended Pittsfield High School. Mr. Goerlach served in the Army during World War II. Raymond was employed by General Electric Company for 40 years in the stockroom & shipping department until his retirement in 1983. He also worked security at Berkshire Medical Center from 1987 until 1992.
He was a member of the Berkshire Lodge A.F. & A.M, and a life member of the Lanesboro Fire Department.
He married the former Dolores E. Harrington Feb. 14, 1950; she passed away Jan. 10, 1999.
He leaves his children, Arthur Goerlach and his wife, Cheryl, of Lanesboro, Nancy Auger of Pittsfield, Joan Goerlach and her companion Dick of Lanesboro, James Goerlach and his wife, Andrea, of Crestview, Fla., John Goerlach and his wife Veronica (Maude) of Lanesboro, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and two sisters-in-law, Carol Harrington of Connecticut, Beatrice Harrington of New York.
He was predeceased by a brother, Gerald Goerlach.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Raymond S. Goerlach will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at 10 a.m. at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
