Raynor Linzey

1933-2013 ADAMS Mr. Raynor Linzey, 79, of 28 East Orchard Terrace, Adams, died on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the North Adams Regional Hospital.

He was born in Haines Falls, New York on October 17, 1933, son of the late George and Dorothy (Raynor) Linzey. He attended schools in New York and graduated from the Hunter Tannersville Central School. He then went on to graduate from Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont. While at Norwich he helped establish the Physics Department with his professor.

Mr. Linzey last worked as an engineer at Steinerfilm in Williamstown until retiring. Earlier he had worked for the former Sprague Electric Co., North Adams and Hughes Aircraft in California.

He was a communicant of the Parish of Blessed John Paul, Adams.

He is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth A. O'Connor, whom he married on August 10, 1957; three sons, Michael Linzey and his wife, Ellen of Groton, Mass., Andrew Linzey of Nashua, N.H., and William Linzey and his wife, Chong Kim of Reston, VA; six grandchildren, Joseph Linzey and his wife Morgan, Michael, David, Maggie, Sean and Erin Linzey; two sisters, Janis Bruck and Marjorie Sember, both of Port Ewen, NY and many nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be on Saturday, June 15, at 12:30 PM from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. in the Parish Church of Blessed John Paul, Adams.

Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams.

Calling hours are Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus School, 108 Summer St. Adams, MA 01220.
