Remy Cotton Kirshner 1994-2011 LENOX Remy Cotton Kirshner, 17, of Housatonic Street, died Friday as the result of a motor vehicle accident in Lee. Born in Pittsfield October 22, 1994, the daughter of Kevin and Barbara Cotton Kirshner, she attended Lenox schools and at the time of her death was a Junior at Lenox Memorial Middle and High School. Remy was a gentle spirit, whose artistic nature and creativity was expressed through her love of music and dance, especially Hip-Hop, drawing and writing. She will be remembered for her smile, kindness, love of friends and family, free spirit and personal inner strength. She was the beloved daughter of Kevin and Barbara; a loving sister to Alix Kirshner of Lenox, a freshman nursing student at Berkshire Community College and CNA at Kimball Farms Retirement Community; and cherished granddaughter of Henry and Linda Kirshner of Boynton Beach, Fla. Remy was pre-deceased by her paternal grandmother Ruth Kirshner; her maternal grandmother Miriam Cotton; and her loving aunts and uncles Helen and Max Benjamin and Ann and Louis Kulin. FUNERAL NOTICE: A funeral service for Miss Remy C. Kirshner of Lenox who died December 30, 2011, will be Tuesday, January 2, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the ROCHE FUNERAL HOME with Rabbi Deborah Zecher, Spiritual Leader of Heverah of Southern Berkshire, officiating. In lieu of flowers Remy's family suggests that those who wish to may make contributions to a memorial fund established by a friend in her honor http://bit.ly/s94zgK For those unable to attend the Memorial Service The Kirshner family will be receiving guests at their home at 172 Housatonic Street, Lenox, following the Memorial Service and in the evenings through January 6.
