Richard E. Field

LENOX Richard Edward Field, 68, of Blue Bell, Pa., died peacefully at his home on July 21, 2014, with his loving partner, Yvonne M. (Schwartz) Fidure, by his side. Born in Pittsfield, son of the late Robert A. Field Sr. and Elizabeth T. (Byrne) Field, he was raised in Lenox and graduated from Lenox High School in 1964. He later resided in Newport Beach, Calif. Dick was a successful self-employed entrepreneur in the health insurance industry. He enjoyed over 45 years of hard work and rewards in his business, and was well-respected by his peers. Dick enjoyed golf with his friends in Lenox in the summer, and traveling to spend time by the Pacific Ocean. Dick very much enjoyed spending time with his brothers and sister in Massachusetts, his children, granddaughters, extended family in Pennsylvania, and his nieces and nephew. Dick was an avid sports fan and, as a young man, excelled in many sports such as baseball and basketball. He is survived by his loving partner and soulmate of 18 years, Yvonne; his son, Kevin Field of Sebastopol, Calif.; his daughter, Nichole Field-Perkins and her husband, Umi, of Aiea, Hawaii; his four granddaughters, Caina of Sebastopol, and Lilinoe, Mima and Mele of Aiea; his sister, Ginger Field of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Lanesborough, and four brothers, Michael Field of Lee, Terrence Field and his wife, Marie, of Lenox, David Field and his wife, Cathy, of Becket, and Dennis Field and his wife, Debbie, of Lenox. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Field Jr., and by his sister, Patricia (Field) Bierbaum. The other love of his life for the past 14 years was his beloved dog, Casper, who preceded him in death May 2014. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Dick will be held in East Norriton, Pa., at St. Titus Church on Friday, July 25, from 10 to 11 a.m. with a Funeral Mass at 11. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery, followed by a Life Celebration at Normandy Farms in Blue Bell. There will also be a memorial service of remembrance at St. Ann's Church in Lenox on Sunday, July 27, at 1:30 p.m. with refreshments following at the parish center.
