1959-2013 HINSDALE Rick Alderman, 54, of Peru Road, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013. While working in Hinsdale as an independent logger, he passed due to an accident.
Born in Pittsfield on April 18, 1959, the son of Donald Alderman, Sr., and Florence Alderman, Rick Alderman graduated in 1978 from Wahconah Regional High School.
When not working, Mr. Alderman enjoyed nature and spending time in the woods, and was an avid fisher and hunter. He also loved spending time with his daughter. Rick was employed for over 20 years at Crane and Company in Dalton, while cutting firewood on the side.
He is survived by his daughter, Lynn Alderman of Cheshire; one brother, Donald Alderman of Hinsdale; one sister, Rosemary Graf of Cummington; and two nephews, David and Daniel Alderman, both of Hinsdale.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Mr. Rick Alderman will be on Wednesday June 26th from 5 to 6:30 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at the Berkshire Union Chapel Church on 191 Old State Road in Lanesborough, MA. Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rick's memory may be made to Berkshire Union Chapel Church.
