PITTSFIELD Robert Boulanger, 77, of 26 Laurel Street, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 after a short illness. He was at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in North Adams at home with his twin sister, Claire. He was the son of Philip and Anna (Breen) Boulanger. He attended Pittsfield Public Schools where he enjoyed studying drafting and tool making. After high school he found employment as a Guided Radar Technician. He later attended Springfield Tech where he specialized in auto transmission mechanics after which he returned to his drafting and toolmaking studies at Berkshire Community College. When an on the job injury left him disabled, his interests shifted to woodworking, furniture making & crafts which had a Native American influence. Other interests included traveling across the United States visiting points of interest, family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Elizabeth Webster Munger Boulanger, his son, William Boulanger and his wife, Pamela of Pittsfield, stepsons, Michael Munger and his wife, Kathy of Brandon, Fl, Steven Munger and his wife, Tracy of Adams and Peter Harris and his wife, Marcia of Pittsfield. He is also survived by his brother, Raymond and his wife, Cheryl of Benson, AZ. He also leaves 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Philip and Anna, his twin sister Claire, and stepson, Dean B. Munger. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mr. Robert Boulanger will be Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA with the Rev. Rich Hayes, Chaplain of HospiceCare in the Berkshires, officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Calling hours at the funeral home will be prior to the service on Saturday, June 20 from 12Noon to 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in his name to the Navajo Relief Fund or to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, care of the Dwyer Funeral Home, in his memory.
