Robert Monteleone Sr. Obituary
Robert A. Monteleone, Sr.

1938 - 2013 PITTSFIELD Robert A. Monteleone, Sr., of 47 Kellie Drive, passed away unexpectedly on May 21, 2013.

Born June 13, 1938, in Pittsfield, the son of Nicholas J and Josephine M. Fresia Monteleone, he was a 1956 graduate of St Joseph's High School.

Bob will be sadly missed by his high school sweetheart, Joan Sacchetti. They were married on Oct. 4, 1958, at Mount Carmel Church.

He worked locally as a carpenter for over 40 years.

He was a longtime member of the ITAM lodge. After his retirement, he continued to work for area golf courses, most recently at the Skyline Country Club.

He enjoyed spending time with friends, horseracing, casinos, working outdoors and traveling. He was an avid sports fan. Most importantly, he was proud to simply be "Grampa" and often attended his grandchildren's sporting events and performances. He loved family gatherings, holidays and summer weekends by the pool.

Besides his wife, Bob is survived by his loving children, Susan J. Snyder and her husband, Tim, of Pittsfield, Robert A. Monteleone, Jr. and his wife, Maureen, of Lenox, and Rand J. Monteleone and his wife, Randi, of Acton. He will be fondly remembered by his nine grandchildren, Colleen, Shane and Timothy Snyder; Megan, Katelyn, Nicholas and Julianna Monteleone, and Justin and Jamie Monteleone. Bob leaves his brother, Richard Monteleone of Pittsfield; his sister, Lois Lutz of Ann Arbor, Mich.; his aunt, Marion Fresia of Clearwater, Fla.; his brother-in-law, Anthony Sacchetti and his wife, Dolly; his sisters-in-law, Marguerite Papa, Nina Stomski and her husband, Richard, and Josephine Sacchetti, and many nieces and nephews.
