1939 - 2016 Robert Polidoro, 77, of Stafford Springs, husband of Bernadette (Taillon) Polidoro, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, at St. Francis Hospital on Sunday (June 5, 2016). Robert was born in Pittsfield, MA, on May 15, 1939 to the late Sofia and Paul Polidoro Sr. Robert served his Country honorably and faithfully in the United States ARMY, receiving the Good Conduct Medal. He owned Roberts Flooring Center in Farmington where he worked passionately. When he wasn't working, Robert enjoyed spending his time with family and friends, surf casting, golfing, bowling, and most importantly, he loved good dining! In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his brother and sister-in-law: Paul Jr. and Frances Polidoro, Pittsfield, MA; Bernadette's siblings and their spouses: Alice and Edmond Testa, of Forestville, Elaine Taillon-Lipton, of Bristol, Marc Taillon, of Bristol, Ronald Taillon, of Half Moon Bay, CA, Agnes and Walter Fisher Sr., of Burlington, Rosemarie and Gerald Unwin, of Southington, Celeste and Stephen St. Denis, of Fredericksburg, VA, Maurice Taillon, of Stafford Springs, Daniel and Nancy Taillon, of Bristol; 54 nieces and nephews; 56 great-nieces and great-nephews; and 20 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. In addition to his parents, Robert was pre-deceased by his twin sisters: Geraldine DiNicola and Pauline Polidoro; and brother: Ronald Polidoro; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Xavier and Rose Alma Taillon; and brother-in-law: Robert Taillon. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial time to share stories will be celebrated at The Bristol Elks Lodge BPOE 1010, 126 South St, Bristol, CT 06010, on Sunday, July 31, 2016 between 1:00-4:00.
