Robin Ann Holowaty

August 29, 1960 - March 21, 2013 GRISWOLD, CONN. Robin Ann (Kolodziej) Holowaty, 52, of Hanes Lane, passed away Thursday morning, March 21, 2013, at W.W. Backus Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Robin was born Aug. 29, 1960 in Blackfoot, Idaho, daughter of Robert F. Kolodziej of Oakdale, Conn., formerly of Adams, and the late Janice M. (McGrath) Kolodziej.

Robin was an alumni to Montville High School as well as Mohegan Community College.

She was a dedicated worker of the US Postal Service continually advancing her career until her final service as Postmaster of the Versailles Post Office.

Robin's free time was spent expressing her artistic abilities through painting and craft making, as well as volunteering at The Jacques Cartier Club where she has been a member for many years.

Besides her father, she is survived by her former husband, Roman Holowaty, and their three children, son, Christopher Holowaty, youngest daughter, Michelle Holowaty, both of Griswold, and eldest daughter, Samantha (Holowaty) Vecchitto and her husband, Allen of Plainfield; a brother, Robert Kolodziej Jr. of Waterford; two sisters, Elizabeth Mauro of Old Lyme and Mary Jo Guillemette of Norwich, as well as several nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 26, at the GAGNE-PIECHOWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 490 Voluntown Road, Jewett City, Conn., from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church in Jewett City on Wednesday, March 27, at 10 a.m., followed by a celebration of life at The Jacques Cartier Club in Jewett City.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Robin's honor to the ECHO Cancer Foundation 330 Washington St. Suite 220 Norwich, CT 06360.
