Rocco Trapani Obituary
Rocco Trapani, age 88, was taken up by the Lord on May 4, 2018 at his home after a long illness. He was born in Pittsfield, Ma on November 23, 1929, the son of Bruno and Francesca Trapani.

Rocco joined the U.S. Air Force in 1947 and rose to the rank of Captain. He served at various bases in the U.S. as well as bases in Greenland, Newfoundland, and Japan. From there he was deployed to Korea at the outbreak of the Korean War, where he served with distinction. After the war he was assigned to Perrin Air Base, TX, where he met and married his beautiful wife, Donna. He retired there after twenty years of service.

After retirement, Rocco was an Air Traffic Controller at Barksdale Air Base, Shreveport, LA, he retired in 1987 after twenty years of service.

Rocco enjoyed spending time with his wife, family, and friends. He was a very outgoing person who never met a stranger and he had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved fishing on his lake side home and just enjoying the peace and beauty of the surrounding area.

Rocco is survived by his loving wife of fifty three years, Donna Norris Trapani, loving daughter Francesca Gordon husband, Bill; devoted brothers Anthony wife, Helen, Joseph, Dominick, and Mario wife, Marie, adoring 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and 17 nephews and nieces who loved him dearly.

Preceding Rocco in death are son, Kristopher, his wife Beth, daughter, Robin Blair, brother, John, his wife Ceil.

Private memorial services were held at the family home with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the at 745 Olive St. Suite 111, Shreveport, LA. 71104.
