Roger T. Knollmeyer, Jr., 59, of Willow Street, PA, died peacefully surrounded by family members on Tuesday morning following a long illness. Born in Pittsfield on August 15, 1956, son of Roger A. and Helen Knollmeyer he was a 1974 graduate of Mount Greylock Regional High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration & Marketing from Villanova University, Villanova, PA. He was an exceptional cross-country and track runner in high school and college. Roger was an accomplished salesman first employed with American Bank Stationery where he achieved salesman of the year one year followed by presidents club for two years after that. He achieved equally great success selling pharmaceuticals ranking repeatedly in the top five salesmen nationwide. He leaves his father Roger A. Knollmeyer of Pittsfield, MA and five brothers, and two sisters, Paul Knollmeyer and his wife Tina Simonetta of Plymouth, MA Kathryn Gravanda of Erie, PA, Christopher Knollmeyer and his wife Donna Corcoran of Lincoln, MA, Maura Fickett and her husband Dan of Washington, MA, Peter Knollmeyer and his wife Jennifer of Esher, England, Stephen Knollmeyer and his wife Ellen of Hampton, NH, and Tim Knollmeyer and his wife Aimee Marshall of Pittsfield, MA Mr. Knollmeyer also leaves two daughters, Juliann and Victoria of Willow Street, PA; 14 nieces and nephews and one grandniece. He was predeceased by his mother Helen Knollmeyer The family would especially like to thank the staff at Marlborough Hills Nursing Home for the loving care they gave Roger in his final months. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mr. Roger T. Knollmeyer, Jr. will be Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 8 a.m. from the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St., Pittsfield MA with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Charles Church celebrated by Rev. A. Peter Gregory, pastor and concelebrated by Roger's uncle, Rev. Bill Dewan of Flushing, NY. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday, July 22, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. If friends desire, donations may be made to Hospice Services of Western and Central MA, care of the Dwyer Funeral Home, in his memory.
