"Oval" Brassard

1948 - 2013 ADAMS Ronald A. "Oval" Brassard, 64, of 44 Richmond Lane, died Sunday morning, April 21, 2013, at his home.

Born in Adams on Oct. 16, 1948, son of the late Harry and Mildred (Sudacki) Brassard, he attended Adams schools, and graduated from the former Adams Memorial High School in 1967.

Mr. Brassard worked in the Ordnance Division of General Electric Co. in Pittsfield for 23 years. He then worked for the Bruckner Supply Co. and finally for WESCO International, Inc. in Port Washington, N.Y., until retiring in 2012.

He was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Cheshire, and of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Adams. He enjoyed traveling, cooking, outdoor projects. and spending time with his grandson.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, the former Patricia R. Krzanik, whom he married on June 28, 1974; two sons, Erik Brassard and Adam Brassard, both of Adams; his grandson, Justin Brassard, of Adams; his sister-in-law, Carol Thomas, and her husband, Ted, of Jacksonville, Fla.; a niece, Katie Thomas and a nephew, Ryan Thomas and his wife, Kelley, all of Jacksonville, Fla.

He was predeceased by his sister, Cheryl Brassard, in 1988.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be Friday, April 26, at 8:45 a.m. from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St.. Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10: a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Cheshire, celebrated by the Rev. David R. Raymond, pastor. Burial will be at a later date in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7p.m. at the funeral home.
