Rose M. Brannigan

1921-2013 GREAT BARRINGTON Rose M. Brannigan, 92, formerly of Toms River, New Jersey, passed away early Wednesday morning, October 23, 2013 at her home in Great Barrington. Rose and her sister, Doris, moved to the Berkshires five years ago to be near her loving nieces, Kathleen and Maureen. Born March 29, 1921 in Plains, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of Christopher and Anna Hogan Brannigan. She was a communicant of St. Peter's Church in Great Barrington. Rose is survived by her sisters, Doris Shields of Great Barrington and Kay Nigro of Elizabeth, N.J.; her nieces, Kathleen Shields and her partner James Daniels and Maureen Hosford and her husband David; as well as eight additional nieces and nephews and numerous grand and great nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Great Barrington, conducted by Rev. William P. Murphy. Burial will be in New Jersey. There will be no calling hours. Donations in memory of Rose may be made to the St. Peter's Church Capital Campaign Fund through FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
