Rosemary Francoeur

1923 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Rosemary Katherine Catlin Francoeur, 91, formerly of Rose Manor, died Thursday, Aug. 14, at Springside of Pittsfield. She was born in Frankfort, N.Y., on July 12, 1923, the daughter of Michele and Rosaria Donadio Catalano. Mrs. Francoeur was the proprietor of the Curiosity Shop on Dalton Avenue for many years where she dealt in antiques. She had been a communicant of North American Martrys Church. Rosemary was a very social woman. She also enjoyed playing cards and doing crossword puzzles. Her husband, Noble G. Francoeur, whom she married July 27, 1946, in Utica, N.Y., died Dec. 1, 2004. Mrs. Francoeur is survived by a daughter, Paula M. Churt, of Pittsfield; three sons, Joel Francoeur and his wife, Missy, of Conn., Dr. Noble J. Francoeur of Vt., and Gene Francoeur of Pittsfield; three sisters, Ida Mae Cacicio, Dolores Colwell, and Frances Polidoro; a brother, Carl Catlin; nine granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters. FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be Saturday, Aug. 23, from 2 - 4 p.m.,at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare in The Berkshires in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
