Sally Miner Obituary
Sally F. Miner

1943 - 2015 Our beloved mother, dearest friend and sibling, Sally F. Miner, age 72, departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, December 8th at her home in Lanesboro. Born in Pittsfield, MA on January 21st, 1943, daughter of Charles R. and Flora B. Farnham, she was a graduate of Lee High School. She went to Henry Bishop Memorial School of Nursing and then began a lifelong career of over 30 years as a critical care nurse at Berkshire Medical Center. Her wicked sense of humor, strength of character and warmth of heart earned her many friends as she provided excellent care to her patients. She also served as union president, arbitrating for a better working environment, and the compensation / benefits her fellow nurses deserved. Her keen mind for knowledge led her quest for learning as she pursued her education and received a B.S.N from American International College as well as a Certificate in Para Legal Studies. Sally loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, skiing, gardening, fishing, camping, bird watching, boating and traveling. Reading and playing Scrabble were also favorite activities. Her truest source of joy, however, was spending time with her family. Throughout the years, much fun and cherished memories were had with her husband, children and grandchildren. Besides her husband, Dick whom she wed on October 29th, 1963, Sally is survived by; her daughter, Vicki White and son-in-law, Steve, their children, Zoe and Averi, her daughter, Tracy Ames and son-in-law, Jeremy, their children, Alissa and Sophia, her son, Craig Miner and daughter-in-law, Jennie, their grandson, Kaesyn, and Craig's daughters, J Robyn and Jessica, her sisters, Betty J. Clark, Nancy J. Martin and brother, Charles E. Farnham. She was a deeply devoted and loving wife, mother and sister.
