Sharon Marie Ott

1947 - 2012 PITTSFIELD Sharon Marie (Quaglietti) Ott, 65, of 57 Berkley St., Pittsfield, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at Berkshire Medical Center.

She was born in Pittsfield on Aug. 30, 1947, daughter of the late Alexander and Virginia (Bannick) Quaglietti and attended Pittsfield schools, graduating from Pittsfield High School in 1965. She was employed at the former Hillcrest Hospital as a switchboard telephone operator and then for 30 years was employed at Berkshire Medical Center billing office, retiring in 2006. Sharon was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and was a former C.C.D. teacher and eucharistic minister at St. Charles Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, crafts, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also a former drum major for the Berkshire Pom Poms and a color guard member of the Skyhawks.

Survivors include her husband, Francis Ott, whom she married on Jan. 28, 1967; two sons, Francis Ott, Jr., of Ellington, Conn., Richard Ott and his wife Mary of Pittsfield,; one daughter, Paula Ott of Pittsfield; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Anthony, Samantha, Matthew, Anthony James, Kristina, Giana, Gabriella; many nieces and nephews, and she was very close to her sisters-in-law, Madeline Errichetto and Mabel Primrose.

Sharon was predeceased by two sisters, her twin sister Patricia Ostrander and JoAnne Ott.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Services will be Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at 8 a.m. from the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church with the Rev. Monsignor Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor, officiating. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday, Sept. 4, from 4 - 7 p.m.
