Sigmund A. Sadzinski, Jr.

1939 - 2015 ADAMS Sigmund A. Sadzinski, Jr., 75, of 61 East Rd. died unexpectedly Tuesday evening, April 14, at Berkshire Medical Center Satellite Emergency Facility in North Adams. He was born in Adams on Dec. 5, 1939, the son of the late Sigmund and Josephine (Joseph) Sadzinski. He attended Adams schools, and graduated from the former Adams High School. He attended Berkshire Community College, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the former North Adams State College. Sig worked for the Berkshire Gas Co. for 23 years, until retiring in 2000. He then concentrated on his Ministry, and served as the interim pastor of the Hancock Baptist Church for the past five years. He had also served as a covering minster at several churches around Berkshire County for the past several years. He was a member of the Community Bible Church in Williamstown, which was his home church, and loved outdoor activities. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, the former Beverly J. Parslow, whom he married on July 18, 1959; his children, Kathy Belanger and her husband, David, of North Adams, Robert Sadinski and his wife, Annette, of Churchill, Md., Karen Torra and her husband, Paul, of Pittsfield, Kristine Glennie-Mutch and her husband, Edward, of Adams, and Mike Sadzinski and his wife, Rebekah, of Grafton, Mass.; his grandchildren, Heather, Jonathan, Katelyn, Caleb, Matthew, Jeanna, Dale, Kayla, Eva, Elijah, and Abigail; his great-grand-children, Jordan, Dominic, Nicholas and Sadie; as well as several nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside funeral service will be conducted Saturday, April 18, at 10:30 a.m. in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Sig's son, Pastor Mike Sadzinski, will officiate. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the Sadzinski Education Fund, for the benefit of his grandchildren's educational pursuits, through the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, MA 01220, which is in charge of arrangements.
