Susan Driscoll

1952 - 2016 Susan (Lifvergren) Driscoll, 64, of Pittsfield, MA passed away on August 1 st , the result a prolonged and difficult illness. Born in Pittsfield May 11, 1952, Susan was a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Pittsfield High School and Bridgewater State University. Her entire career was spent in Human Resource Management beginning at Berkshire Medical Center, then continuing on with various banks and holding companies, including Senior Management at the Bank of America Corporate Headquarters. At the time of her death she was a Vice President with Petricca Industries. A woman of simple tastes and pleasures, Susan was most comfortable at home, yet thoroughly enjoyed her seaside travels to areas of coastal Maine and harbor side in Newport, Rhode Island. Susan's primary interests included her family, her home, a close knit circle of friends, the labor of her work and those she worked with, but most of all, the love of her nieces whose lives she enriched in so many ways. Preceding her in death were parents Lifverd H. and Dorothy B. Lifvergren, a sister Nancy H. and several aunts and uncles. She leaves behind her husband of nearly 40 years Roger R. Driscoll, Jr., brother-in- law George G. Driscoll, her brother Jon E. and wife Lesley A. Lifvergren and their daughters Emma R. and Hannah J. and her brother Allen E. and his wife Patricia B. Lifvergren and their daughter Anna B. The family gratefully acknowledges Susan's physicians in Pittsfield and in Boston, as well as the compassionate and comforting care administered by the Hospitalists, Nursing and Support staff of 5West at Berkshire Medical Center during her final days. Final arrangements are complete and were private. In lieu of cards, letters or flowers, those caring to make a donation may consider doing so to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute at dana-farber.org in Susan's, name or may simply honor Susan and her memory by affirming your love to those you care for.
