Svea I. Valenzuela
1921 - 2014 LENOX Mrs. Svea Inger Mae Valenzuela, 92, of 235 Walker St., Lenox, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014, at Hillcrest Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pittsfield. Born in Sweden on Dec. 21, 1921, the daughter of Charles and Selma Josephson Leaf, she emigrated to the United States through Ellis Island at the age of two. She attended schools in Westchester County, N.Y. Mrs. Valenzuela formerly lived in Somers, N.Y., and was a devoted wife and beloved mother to her three children, and loving grandmother to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Valenzuela loved to travel and was an avid golfer. As a very "caring soul", people just loved to be with her. She leaves her husband, Gabriel A. Valenzuela Sr., whom she married on Aug. 8, 1939, in Ossining, N.Y; her three children, Gail Ann Busch, Gabriel Valenzuela Jr., and Charles Valenzuela; her daughter-in-law, Michele Valenzuela; her sister, Ann Raycraft; 5 grandchildren, Laura Grimaldi and her husband, Nick, Elizabeth Valenzuela, Julie Valenzuela, Sheila Gallo and her husband, Steve, and Ted Busch.; 7 great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Bella, and Cole Grimaldi, Ava Ferland, AJ and Carson Gallo, and Kevin Busch, as well as nephews, Richard, Alan, and Steven Raycraft. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mrs. Svea I. Valenzuela will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at 4 p.m. at the DWYER FUNERAL HOME, 776 North St., Pittsfield MA 01201, conducted by the Rev.
