1946 - 2014 BRAINARD, N.Y. - Terry Bingham, 68, died peacefully Tuesday morning, Sept. 9, 2014 at his home with his family at his side. Born in Albany, N.Y. on Mar. 9, 1946, he was the son of the late Robert and Fannie Coons Bingham. Terry was a 1964 graduate of New Lebanon High School and celebrated his 50th Class Reunion on July 12, 2014. He married his beloved wife, Judith A. Brown Bingham on Jan. 16, 1965 in New Lebanon. He was employed for a short while with the former Sampson Hydraulics in New Lebanon. He later began his career with Sterling-Winthrop which later became Organic Chem in Rensselaer where he was a supervisor and chemical operator for over 40 years before retiring in 2006. In retirement, his hobby was being a caretaker of homes in the area mowing lawns and snowplowing. He was a 60 year fan at the Lebanon Valley Speedway where he enjoyed dirt and NASCAR racing. He even helped build the bleachers as a teenager. He was a loyal hunter, a diehard Boston Red Sox fan and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be missed by his faithful buddy, his dog Marley. In addition to his loving wife Judy, he is the devoted father of Tammy (Bill) Sears of West Lebanon and Stacy (Mark) Mazzeo of Stephentown; the best uncle of Mitchell (Susan) Whalen of North Hoosick and Tracy (Dominick) D'Agostino of Pittsfield; proud grandfather of Michael Sears, Taylor and Gabrielle Mazzeo; dear brother of Dail (Skip) Grant of Star, N.C., Mary (Tim) Mooney of Wilmington, N.C. and the late Ronald "Porky" Bingham (his wife, Elizabeth survives of Brainard). He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Hall & Higgins Funeral Home, 457 NY Route 43, Stephentown, NY with the Rev. Susan Schultz officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call prior to the service on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
