Theda Harubin

PITTSFIELD Theda (Theodosia) Harubin, a longtime resident of Topsfield, Mass., passed away on Aug. 8, 2014 after a brief illness. She died at home surrounded by her family and her dogs in the place that she loved most.Born and raised in Pittsfield, Mass., she was a graduate of Barnard College, class of 1951. The daughter of Harry and Crisoula Litrides, and Fotini Kastriniki. Beloved wife of Kenneth A. Harubin for 36 years until his passing in 1991. She is survived by her children; a daughter, Lenore C. Harubin, of Topsfield and a son, K. Paul Harubin and his wife, Michelle B. Harubin; her three grandsons, Kenneth A. Harubin II, Daniel P. Harubin and Thomas M. Harubin of Plaistow, N.H.; a great-granddaughter, Emma N. Harubin, and her cousin Helen Constantine of Washington DC. Her passion for the theatre culminated in her origination of the Village Players Theatre Group of Topsfield, where she spent many years acting and directing. She will be buried next to her husband in a private ceremony at Pine Grove Cemetery in Topsfield. In lieu of flowers, it's the family's wish that donations be made to Topsfield Town Library, 1 South Common Street, Topsfield, MA 01983.
