Theresa A. Morrissey

1918-2013 PITTSFIELD Theresa A. Morrissey, 95, of Springside Skilled Care Center passed away on December 11, following a brief illness. Born July 9, 1918 in Webster, Mass., the daughter of Victor and Rose Stomski Gurski, she attended local schools. Theresa was employed at Eaton Paper for approximately 25 years, running an envelope machine until her retirement due to medical issues. She loved baking, spending time with her grandchildren and watching the Red Sox's. She married Harold Morrissey on July 20, 1940 at Holy Family Church; he passed away August 10, 2000. Theresa leaves her daughter Patricia Griffin and her husband Ray of Spring Hill, Fla., Peter Morrissey and his wife Georgianna of Dalton, Mass., grandchildren Pam Chrostowski and her husband Lester, Shawn Griffin and his wife Christie, Mike Morrissey and his wife Chris and Brian Griffin, great grandchildren Geoff and Matt Chrostowski, Zackery Morrissey, Becky Battaini, Shauna, Conor and Emily Griffin and Madison, A.J. and Chelsi Griffin. She was predeceased by her sisters Frances, Agnes, Eva, Barbara and Marie. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral Mass for Theresa A. Morrissey will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Noon at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Dalton, with Rev. Christopher Malatesta officiating. Burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Please visit www.wellingtonfuneralhome.com to leave condolences for the family.
