Theresa M. Valenti

1921 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Theresa M. Valenti, 92, of 23 Tennyson Ave., died Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield. Born in North Adams on Nov. 18, 1921, daughter of Joseph and Vittoria (Allemandi) Ariazi, she attended local schools. She moved to Pittsfield in 1946 and was employed for a short time by the General Electric Co. and then for the former Stratton Coat Factory on Columbus Avenue. Most of her life, she was a homemaker. Theresa enjoyed sewing, gardening, and cooking, and was a devoted caregiver to her family. She was a former communicant of All Souls' Church. Her husband, Ernest Valenti, whom she married on June 22, 1946, died July 9, 1996. Survivors include on son, Paul Valenti of Pittsfield, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Dominick Ariazi, John Ariazi and Emilio Ariazi. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services will take place Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at 9 a.m. at the FLYNN-DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., with the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, C.S.S., officiating.
