1928 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Mrs. Therese Reilly Wood age 85, of 145 Robbins Ave., recently under the care of Springside Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility, died Sunday evening at the Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield, Dec. 12, 1928, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Marion Shea Reilly. She was educated in the Pittsfield Schools and attended Pittsfield High School. Mrs. Wood worked at the former Shaeffer-Eaton Paper Co., for many years prior to working in the Housekeeping Dept. of the Berkshire Medical Center. Retiring from there, she took a part time position with WalMart and was hired as one of the first greeters at the then brand new WalMart store in Pittsfield. A communicant of St. Joseph's Church, she loved doing hand crafts for her own personal enjoyment and to share with friends and family. Mrs. Wood hosted all of the family events, picnics and parties which included hosting the annual family 4th of July Celebration at her home. Her husband, Theodore M. Wood, whom she married Jan. 26, 1950, died June 27, 2006. She is survived by her four sons; John M. Wood and his wife, Kathryn, of Beulaville, N.C., Michael J. Wood and his wife, Ellen, Daniel P. Wood and his partner, Catherine Lucier, and Richard A. Wood, all of Pittsfield; her two daughters, Mary L. Parker of Adams, and Kathleen A. Regalmann of Pittsfield; her sister, Helen A. Reilly of Pittsfield, 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and was awaiting the birth of another great-grandchild. Her daughter, Nancy J. Wood, died Oct. 10, 1962, and three siblings also predeceased her; Marion Reilly in 1923, Catherine Reilly died in 2003, and William Reilly died in 2008. FUNERAL NOTICE: Therese M. Wood, age 85, died Aug. 24. Calling hours at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME will be WEDNESDAY from 4 - 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held THURSDAY morning at 8:15 a.m. from the funeral home followed with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church with the Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor, officiating and with her grandson, the Rev. Michael J. Wood, parochial vicar of St. Thomas the Apostle in W. Springfield, as chief celebrant. Burial will follow in the family lot in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorial donations would be made to either the
