Ursula Elizabeth Haddad

1930-2013 LENOX Ursula Elizabeth Haddad, 83, of 178 New Lenox Road, died Monday, October 21, 2013, at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Hannover, Germany, on July 31, 1930, the daughter of Walter and Frieda Koerner Koch, she was educated in German schools. She was ballerina with the Hannover Opera. Mrs. Haddad was a homemaker and a seamstress most of her life. She enjoyed bingo, knitting and crocheting, swimming, and being with her grand-children. She leaves her husband, Alfred J. Haddad, whom she married June 25, 1955, in Germany. She came to the United States in 1956. Mrs. Haddad is also survived by two sons, Alfred P. Haddad and his wife, Halina, of San Diego, Calif., and John M. Haddad and his wife, Tammy, of Dalton; a daughter, Deborah L. Bliss and her husband, George, of Dalton; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral service for Ursula Elizabeth Haddad will be held Friday, October 25, at 1:30 p.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Peter A. Gregory, Pastor of St. Charles Church, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Haddad may be made to the in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
